Alternative methods to exclude local solutions

Develop methods to disprove the existence of local solutions to Rupert’s property that do not rely on the angle-based approach of Lemma 7.2 and Theorem 7.1 or on constructing algebraic systems of inequalities.

References

Are there other ways to disprove the existence of local solutions? That is, without the method utilized in Lemma 7.2 and Theorem 7.1, or setting up an algebraic system of inequalities.
