Persistence of AFCS Trends at Larger Model Scales

Determine whether the performance trends observed for Atomic-Fact-Conditioned Synthesis (AFCS) on 7B- and 32B-parameter language models persist at larger model scales.

Background

The paper evaluates AFCS using 7B- and 32B-parameter LLMs and reports improvements over source-conditioned synthesis baselines on factual question-answering benchmarks. However, the experiments do not establish whether these gains continue as model size increases beyond 32B parameters. The authors explicitly identify the persistence of the observed trends at larger scales as unresolved.

References

We evaluate 7B and 32B models. Whether the same trends persist at larger model scales remains open.
