Establish a soundness connection between Aeneas and Rust semantics

Establish a soundness argument connecting Aeneas’s functional translation to the actual semantics of Rust, thereby showing that proofs about the translated programs validate the corresponding Rust programs.

Background

The paper compares Corten with Aeneas, which translates a subset of Rust into a pure functional language for verification in F*, Lean, or Rocq. Although proofs about the functional translation are kernel-checked, the paper states that the semantic connection from the translation back to actual Rust behavior has not been established.

References
