Acute tetrahedron tiling conjecture

Prove or disprove that no single tetrahedron whose six dihedral angles are all acute can tile Euclidean three-space, including tilings that are not properly face-to-face.

Background

The paper contrasts the tetragonal disphenoid T, whose four acute dihedral angles are π/3\pi/3 and whose remaining two angles are exactly π/2\pi/2, with the unresolved problem for strictly acute tetrahedra.

It records a theorem excluding tetrahedra with all six dihedral angles acute from proper face-to-face tilings, but states a stronger conjecture excluding any single acute tetrahedron from tiling space.
