Absolute spatial number density of ISOs deferred

Determine the absolute spatial number density of interstellar objects, enabling normalization of relative chemodynamical and velocity distributions for comparison with survey detections and population inferences.

Background

The authors’ current approach focuses on relative distributions and model comparison without providing an absolute number density, which is necessary to translate relative distributions into concrete detection rates and to calibrate population-level inferences.

Establishing an absolute spatial number density would bridge model predictions with observational yields from surveys such as LSST and support quantitative assessments of ISO production mechanisms across the Galaxy.

Also, our approach here does not provide an absolute spatial number density of ISOs; we defer this to future work.
