Embeddings in Lie algebras of subexponential growth

Abstract: We prove that an arbitrary countable dimensional Lie algebra over a field of characteristic $\neq 2$ that is locally of subexponential growth is embeddable in a finitely generated Lie algebra of subexponential growth.
