Frequent deletion and in-place update in incremental filtered-vector indexes

Develop support for frequent deletion and in-place update in the WoW fully incremental insert-from-empty filtered-vector index while preserving its dynamic range-search functionality.

Background

The paper reviews WoW as a fully incremental insert-from-empty design for filtered-vector search. Although WoW addresses incremental insertion, the paper identifies frequent deletion and in-place update as unresolved concerns. These operations are relevant to FRESH-GEORANGE because the proposed system must accommodate mutable point-of-interest catalogs involving insertions, deletions, and text replacements while maintaining a current visible snapshot.

The problem is included as an explicitly unresolved issue in related prior work, rather than as an unaddressed limitation of FRESH-GEORANGE itself. FRESH-GEORANGE handles deletions and replacements through a latest-write delta overlay, but the cited WoW system does not establish equivalent support for frequent deletion and in-place modification.
