Background

To avoid increased page charges from adding many figures, the authors suggest placing numerous PromoPlot-based corner plots in online figure sets. Revenue projections currently assume identical pricing for ads regardless of placement, but the authors lack confirmation from advertisers on whether online supplements command different rates.

Clarifying relative pricing is crucial for accurate cost–benefit analyses and for determining how many corner plots are needed to offset publication fees when using online figure sets.
