Role of noninvertible symmetries in formulating wormholes as quantum channels

Investigate whether noninvertible symmetries can provide insight into or refine the formulation of wormholes as quantum channels in the sense of Bao, Chatwin-Davies, Pollack, and Remmen (2018).

Background

While discussing traversable wormholes as entanglement-assisted quantum channels, the authors point out recent developments on noninvertible symmetries acting via quantum operations. They explicitly flag the question of whether such symmetries might illuminate the quantum-channel description of wormholes and defer its paper to future work.

References

We note in passing that quantum channels have also recently been of interest in the study of noninvertible symmetries, such as in Ref.; we leave the interesting question of whether noninvertible symmetries can cast light on the formulation of wormholes as quantum channels to future work.
