Incorporation of multidimensional integration for binned COMPASS data

Develop an efficient treatment of multidimensional kinematic integration so that cross sections integrated over broad kinematic bins, such as the COMPASS DVCS data, can be incorporated into the fitting procedure.

Background

The fitting framework currently uses pointwise observables and excludes COMPASS measurements supplied as cross sections integrated over broad kinematic bins. Correctly comparing these data with the model requires integrating the predicted cross section over the relevant multidimensional bins. The authors identify the computational cost of this operation as a numerical obstacle and defer its resolution.

Addressing this numerical challenge is deferred to future work, although Fig.~\ref{fig:result:experiments_not_used} demonstrates that these data offer valuable constraining power.
