Leaky Gromov–Witten theory

Develop, if possible, a leaky Gromov–Witten theory corresponding to leaky Hurwitz theory.

Background

Completed cycles are connected to Gromov–Witten theory through the Gromov–Witten/Hurwitz correspondence. The paper introduces a leaky extension of completed-cycle Hurwitz numbers, but does not construct a corresponding Gromov–Witten theory.

The open problem is to determine whether the leaky Hurwitz framework admits a parallel Gromov–Witten-theoretic structure and, if so, to develop that theory in a way compatible with the established correspondence for ordinary completed cycles.
