Last-iterate convergence of aGRAAL

Establish or refute last-iterate convergence of the adaptive golden-ratio algorithm (aGRAAL) for the monotone variational inequalities considered, rather than only its boundedness and ergodic-rate guarantees.

Background

The paper contrasts its iterate-convergence certificate with the existing theory for aGRAAL. According to the authors, aGRAAL has guarantees involving boundedness and an ergodic rate, but no established last-iterate convergence result; the question is therefore left unresolved.

certifying (or refuting) last-iterate convergence of aGRAAL itself remains open.
