Quasinormal modes of half-integer-spin de Sitter fields

Characterize the quasinormal modes of half-integer-spin fields in de Sitter space and determine how their spectra compare with the corresponding Harish–Chandra characters.

Background

The paper establishes a relation between de Sitter quasinormal-mode degeneracies and Harish–Chandra characters for scalar and other fields. It then notes that the analogous analysis for half-integer-spin fields has not been systematically developed.

Resolving this problem would extend the character/quasinormal-mode correspondence to fermionic fields and clarify the representation-theoretic interpretation of their static-patch excitations.

References

Quasinormal modes for half-integer fields and how they compare to their corresponding Harish-Chandra characters are still largely unexplored.
