Generalization to non-Western political settings

Enhance the generalizability of the DNE-ElecDeb entity inventory and the Joint Argument--Entity Tagging framework to political scenarios and cultures outside the Western U.S. debate context.

Background

The entity inventory was derived from U.S. presidential and vice-presidential debate transcripts and includes categories such as roles, organizations, and parties shaped by that setting. The authors explicitly identify adaptation to other political scenarios, including non-Western contexts, as an unresolved challenge.
