Finer-grid confirmation of continuum response estimates

Determine whether the continuum extrapolations of the visibility and response coefficients for the counter-wound InAs Aharonov–Bohm waveguide are confirmed by scattering calculations on grids finer than 3 nm.

Background

The reported transmission modulation and response coefficients are obtained from finite-grid calculations. Mesh comparisons indicate that the dominant grid dependence at fixed energy arises from a discretization-induced shift of the arm-mode threshold, and the authors use threshold-referenced comparisons to estimate a continuum visibility of approximately 2.6–2.9%.

The paper explicitly notes that these continuum estimates have not yet been checked with a finer grid. Consequently, the numerical values remain provisional, and a higher-resolution calculation is needed to determine whether the extrapolated visibility and response coefficients are reliable.

References

Referring the grids to a common threshold gives continuum estimates of the visibility and response coefficients about $15$--$30\%$ smaller in magnitude than their $3\,\mathrm{nm}$ values; these estimates rest on that referencing and have not been confirmed on a finer grid.
