Background

The corpus includes Thirukadukam as one of five Classical Tamil source sections and assigns it a gloss/gist/notes urai register. However, the paper explicitly notes that the identity of its commentator and the date of the commentary have not been established. Determining these bibliographic facts would clarify the historical provenance and interpretive context of the 100 Thirukadukam verse–commentary pairs used in the study.
