Measure the X-ray incidence of SF-AGN

Determine how many star-forming active galactic nuclei identified through BPT and VO emission-line diagnostics are detectable in X-rays.

Background

Star-forming active galactic nuclei (SF-AGN) are identified primarily through optical emission-line diagnostics and are common among the dwarf-galaxy candidates in the inventory. Because uniform X-ray coverage is unavailable and the overlap between optical and X-ray selections is small, the paper does not establish what fraction of SF-AGN possess detectable X-ray emission.

References

Because of the scarcity of X-ray data for SF-AGN, we cannot say how many might be detected in X-rays.
