Determine the predictive value of explicit effective PWM-frequency conditioning

Determine whether explicitly providing the effective PWM frequency contributes additional predictive information beyond the information already contained in the flux-density waveform for transient magnetic-field prediction under PWM excitation.

Background

The condition-aware LSTM-based sequence-to-sequence framework uses temperature and an effective PWM-frequency descriptor as auxiliary inputs for predicting the future magnetic-field waveform from historical B–H trajectories and known future flux-density excitation. Although switching characteristics are implicitly encoded in the B(t) waveform, the paper identifies uncertainty about whether supplying the effective PWM frequency explicitly provides information that improves prediction. An ablation study compares models with both conditions, temperature alone, effective PWM frequency alone, and no conditional information; the reported results favor using both conditions, but the unresolved question concerns the independent informational contribution of the explicit frequency descriptor.

Although switching characteristics are implicitly contained in the $B(t)$ waveform, it is not evident whether explicitly providing the effective PWM frequency contributes additional predictive information.
