Dependence on coupling ratio and system size

Investigate how the dynamical regimes of globally coupled Stuart–Landau oscillators depend on the ratio of dissipative to reactive coupling, or equivalently on the argument of the complex coupling coefficient, and determine how this dependence changes with system size.

Background

The numerical study fixes the coupling ratio at Cr/Ci=0.25C_r/C_i=0.25, selecting a parameter slice that contains phase-locked, quasiperiodic, and chaotic regimes. Consequently, the reported bifurcation structures and multistability patterns do not establish how the dynamics varies across the full space of complex-coupling arguments.

The paper also uses a fixed population size of M=8M=8. The authors identify a systematic study of the coupling ratio and its variation with system size as unresolved future work, making this an explicit open investigation rather than a result established by the paper.

A systematic investigation of how the dynamical regimes depend on the coupling ratio, or equivalently on the argument of the complex coupling coefficient, and how this dependence changes with system size is left for future work.
