Effect of anticorrelated memory kernels

Determine how anticorrelations generated by memory kernels that take negative values affect the dynamics and transport of non-Markovian Brownian systems.

Background

The analysis in the dissertation focuses primarily on positive, exponentially decaying memory kernels and develops an effective mass correction from their short-memory behavior. Memory kernels with negative values represent anticorrelations in the environmental fluctuations and are not addressed by the presented treatment.

The effect of such anticorrelations on the dynamics therefore remains unresolved, particularly in relation to the memory-induced transport phenomena studied in the dissertation.

References

Moreover, the impact of anticorrelations arising when the memory kernel takes negative values remains to be determined.
