Residual-clutter-aware predictive beamforming

Extend the proposed predictive beamforming framework for vehicular integrated sensing and communications to account for residual clutter caused by imperfect clutter suppression and moving non-user scatterers.

Background

The signal model assumes that clutter from surrounding scatterers is neglected because dominant roadside clutter is typically stationary and can be suppressed in the Doppler domain before feature extraction. This assumption excludes residual clutter arising from imperfect suppression as well as clutter generated by moving non-user scatterers. The paper explicitly identifies incorporating these effects into the predictive beamforming framework as future work, leaving the framework’s performance and required modeling adjustments under such clutter conditions unresolved.
