Towards the Double Copy Formulation for the Abelian Sector of Heterotic Double Field Theory

Abstract: It has been shown that double field theory (DFT) action can be constructed in a perturbative manner up to cubic order by using double copy of Yang-Mills. This construction can also be extended by starting with higher-derivative Yang-Mills theory to obtain higher-derivative DFT action. In this work, I try to use this classical double copy formulation for Abelian subsector of heterotic DFT, starting with a Yang-Mills theory including a charged scalar field, namely (Y M + \phi3) theory. Although the methods I used do not give an exact match, they give some promising results.
