The Cartwheel Galaxy
“Approaching the Cartwheel Galaxy. The ring galaxy's outer star-forming ring blazes blue with new stars triggered by a smaller galaxy passing straight through the center, the inner ring is faint with the central remaining bulge, spoke-like structures connect the inner and outer rings, and the smaller intruder galaxy hangs nearby.”
