M82 Starburst Galaxy
“Edge-on with the cigar-shaped starburst galaxy M82. Vast bipolar outflows of red ionized gas stream perpendicular to the galactic plane, the disk glows with the light of intense star formation, M81 is visible nearby as a face-on spiral, dust lanes streak the edge of the disk, and the entire galaxy is in chaos from interaction.”
