Apophis Approaching Earth
“April 13, 2029. The asteroid Apophis approaches Earth at 32,000 kilometers altitude. The dark elongated 340-meter rock tumbles in the foreground, Earth fills the right side of the sky in cloud-swirled blue, the Moon is visible beyond, geostationary satellites whip past on their belts below the asteroid, and the Sun glares from the left.”
